A large animal health company recognized the need to attract, develop, and retain its talent. Senior leadership made the commitment to achieve strategic objectives that required a focused effort on developing talent at all levels. WLH partnered with the client to create an overall framework and execution plan.
The result was a series of deliverables all linked to key HR practices including the:
Collection of data to identify core capabilities of various functional groups.
Development of capability models and career ladders for each functional group.
Development of a 360° feedback and development planning process to measure and improve individual and group capabilities.
Design and facilitation of a "High Performers Workshop" to enhance senior leaders’ abilities to coach and develop individuals; including processes to cascade the initiative throughout the organization.
Design and delivery of the Rx for Retention™ Workshop to enable managers to identify at-risk employees and reduce turnover of high-value employees.
Creation of a Structured Interview Process and Guide based on key capabilities for hiring new employees.
Development and distribution of a comprehensive guide, "Managing Our Human Capital Resources" that included all necessary tools and coaching tips.
