Aligning Functional Strategy with Corporate Goals
WLH Partnered with a new leader in the medical affairs function of a large pharmaceutical company to develop an integrated strategy and operating plan in support of corporate business objectives.
As part of this project, WLH:
Conducted a diagnostic assessment of the leadership team and internal stakeholders to better understand current challenges and to identify ways to deliver value within the new organizational structure.
Designed and delivered leadership offsite meeting to engage in strategy development, action planning, and role clarification.
Provided ongoing support for the development and execution of action plans to ensure functional expertise was leveraged by matrixed therapeutic areas.
Created a Change Management strategy that included plans to support group member transitions into new roles and to educate internal stakeholders on the group's value proposition.
Established metrics to measure each function’s successes, updated processes to reflect organizational changes and ensure compliance requirements, as well as redefining all roles and responsibilities for the group.
